I never really messed with the 7800 ( CX78) joypad with 2600 games until the mid 90s.
I find it really gives you a gameplay advantage (sometimes a big one) over the standard joystick , games like pitfall , spider fighter , missile command etc just seem easier because of what I feel is a superior response time .
Am I the only one that feels this way? I never see much about this controller being used on the 2600 , it's just great in my opinion.
