I've been a "retro collector" of all video games since about 1994. once I started seeing nes games for sale at blockbuster I started snagging them up even back then. I've owned thousands of different games over the years(like many of you) but I've never ran accross anything I would deem "significant". This completely changed today and I am still trying to process the significance of it.

Pepsi invaders/coke wins!!!!!!!! I first read about this game on classicgaming.com back around 2000. I was completely obsessed with the VCS at the time. I had grew up with an NES so the VCS was alluring to me like a classic car. It had been along time since I researched it so the actual rarity was a little foggy in my head.
I was visitng Tallahassee, FL for an arcade tournament. Its about 2 hours from my town so I always make it a point to visit this retro game store called games4less. I traded in a wii and got about $35 bucks store credit. They had very little I was interested in as I have NES and genesis flash carts. I only collect for 2600 & 5200 at the moment. The guy pulls out a box of atari stuff. I grabbed the only two 5200 games and glanced at the 2600 stuff. Literally nothing but about 12 combats, 10 pacman, 5 ET & a black cart with a handwritten label; "coke vs. pepsi".......
I glance at my wife(who is knows alot about games) with this expression
