5200 Trackball

As seen in a previous thread, I received my 5200 Trackball controller in the mail today. It's a little dirty, but nothing that a little time and rubbing alcohol shouldn't cure. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, as I lost the remote to the TV my 5200 is plugged into. Before I open her up and "get to it", does anyone have any advice for me? Anything I should look out for or be extra carefull of?
