So...been playing the 2600/VCS since Christmas 1982 (earlier if you count visiting with my cousins). I have an Atari 7800 and pretty much the expected 7800 games (Ball Blazer, Food Fight, Desert Falcon, etc.) and a pretty good handful of the hacks and homebrews (esp. PacManPlus's).
But I'm seriously considering putting my toes in the 5200 water.
As a 7800 owner, what should I expect? I think I played a 5200 once in my life for a few brief minutes back in the '80s, but that's it. Are the graphics about the same?? I know the sound is better...
Is there a multicart like the Harmony CURRENTLY AVAILABLE at an affordable price for the 5200?
Is there an A/V mod for beginner-to-intermediate solderers CURRENTLY AVAILABLE for the 5200?
And I understand the whole 4-port vs. 2-port thing; I take it if I get a 4-port and the power supply/switchbox goes bad, I'm screwed, right? So I should just look for the 2-port version?
