Installing an eeprom in my KA Aircars cartridge

There are some Team Jaguar KA Aircars cartridges out there that don't save like others do. Apparently missing an eeprom like mine was. I really wanted to be able to save so in the future I can choose the level I play, which I could do with my original ICD Aircars. Well, luckily I got an extra cartridge label with my KA Aircars, possibly becuase the one on the cart wasn't perfect.

So I decided I was going to install my own eeprom chip.
So where to start? I don't know the type of chip I need, so I thought I'd start inquiring. But then I remembered I had a disembodied Checkered Flag cartridge that I used the case from for my Skunkboard. I don't want to remove it from my CF cart, I still play the game, but I thought I could see what type of chip it uses.

Then I remembered I had a 2MB Cybermorph cartridge I got used wich had the label lifted before to open it, so even though Cybermorph doesn't save, I thought I'd give it a look. Low and behold, even though CM doesn't save, it is equiped with an eeprom chip.

Well, 20 minutes later, I have the eeprom from CM desoldered and soldered into my Aircars cartridge. Next, testing...Aircars saves! Cybermorph still works fine! Viola! I have a KA Aircars that saves, with a fresh clean label!
