They charge outragous fees, and they don't protect sellers or buyers even after all those increased fees!
I've called them to complain about policy violations on more than one occasion to get some moron on the phone that has a script in front of them in which they have no idea what they are doing outside of that.
Tonight, I was watching an auction and saw a zero feedback eBay account raising the auction. The seller has numerous feedback's stating that they use zero feedback accounts. They are clearly using the accounts to raise the auction amounts. I called eBay, the eBay representative said that the zero feedback accounts used were different each time so that it was just a coincidence. That each account had 100% bidding with the seller, yet another coincidence. That the seller contacts the last legitiment buyer and offers a second chance, every time, is just another coincidence. If you check the bid history and select show auto bids, you'll see what they do.
It's pointless to contact them and they promote dishonesty. So the guy on the phone just hung up. He knew that if called back it would be another representative.
What more evidence do they need!
And to boot, the seller can give themselves positive feedback (using the fake account) and not even purchase the item!
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 300835685896![]()
The seller also states $4 to ship, then changes that in the description to $18.99.
