I posted in the newbie thread, but thought most people here wouldn't see it.
I'm completely new to the Atari computer scene. I got myself a 800XL and want to start learning what it's capable of. I have a SIO2SD on the way and am now trying to figure out the differences and benefits between the AtariMax flash cart and MyIDE II.
I believe that the flash cart wouldn't buy me anything over the SIO2SD, other than potentially faster loading (please correct me if I'm wrong here). What does the MyIDE II offer that would be different that the others? Is it simply that the memory is expandable with CF cards, rather than being fixed? If so, does that mean the SIO2SD would also provide the same type of functionality?
Sorry if these seem like silly questions. I'm certain my lack of knowledge regarding how these systems work is what's causing my confusion here. Any help is appreciated!
