I made a twin stick today for Robotron. Stick on left (moves the guy) plugs into controller port 1, stick on right (fires) plugs into controller port 2. I also added 1 button to (re)start the game off of port 1. No 620 ohm resistors are needed as only one button is needed with this game and it can wire like a 2600 controller with common ground.
Also any left handers play this game with a twin stick, if yes do you prefer to shoot with left or right stick?
I've been toying with the idea of using a single stick and double wire to both controller ports. This would make the guy shoot the way he is facing automatically. This would also make it so he only shoots in the direction. Has anyone tried this to see if they could get a higher score?
