Empire Strikes Back has always been in my top 10 2600 games. I recently went through a phase where I gave it a lot of play (again), and I wondered if others have a favorite game mode for this one. I typically play game 13 with the smart bombs and "solid" walkers. I think it adds some realism to have the solid body AT-ATs and the smart bombs keep you moving.
I also discovered that I don't hate the b&w version of the game. The snow planet looks cool in black and white and the rainbow effect on the walkers just changes to various stages of gray. Nice discovery.
This game also plays great on my upright MAME cabinet. I did a little head to head with Stargate vs. ESB and both games really shine with arcade controls.
Anyway - what's your favorite variation?
