Hi, looking for a cheap F8 cart board. I have a couple PixelsPast boards from years ago, 4K and a 32K but looking for a simple 8K. If I had a PLD burner I would consider swapping out the mapper, the HDL is open source now.
Thought about rechipping a 8K cart but they use a custom rom with built in mapping support (?). Is there a cart with separate mapping hardware for F8?
Would even be happy with a simple discrete logic design; 8 in Nand and FF on a perf board sort of hack. Something quick and dirty; DIY friendly.
Been searching Google but haven't seen what I'm looking for. I love my Harmony but just want a very simple dedicated cart/mod.
Any help would be great. Thanks
