Whatever happened to G.A.M.E.S. store in Van Nuys, California?

Sorry, I didn't know which forum would get me the best response.

I remember reading about them in Electronic Fun with Computers and Games magazine, and the Colecovision Experience magazine, among others.

Of course, Google is zero help.  Just wondering if they shut down, morphed into something else, or what?
