Sir Clive's continuous crippling of the Spectrums, Jack T's "lets's see if we can make our floppy drive the slowest in history", the nameless suits at TI with their clueless handling of the TI-99, Radio Shack's "lets's save a buck-and-a-half, nobody needs lowercase letters", Atari's... You get the idea.
You notice one famous name that is not on the list, not to say they didn't make boneheaded decisions, but it didn't seem to be the standard Wall Street philosophy of "let's make a quick buck and get the heck out before the public catch on to us".
Oh, and Acorn too.

Odd coincidence, most everyone in the list above made calculators, and decided "we've got to get a piece of this home computer market"
