Jaguar CD

Hello, I am new here and looking for advice.

I recently bought an Atari Jag cd console which is working fine. However, I have heard this console is temperamental and quite rare so I limit myself from playing it for long spurts.

I've noticed that the CD stops spinning occasionally when I'm playing although the game seems to continue. Is that a concern?
