Hi all,
So, I'm a retro computing enthusiast focusing on the NES, but the first computer I remember was an Atari 400. We had Space Invaders on cassette, and my sister saved a bunch of custom adventures with Adventure Creator on cassette.
I've been working to try to record WAV files of these cassettes and import them using Atari 400/800 emulators. My first attempt was with Space Invaders, and cross-referenced it with a good rom found on the internet. I actually diffed the files and it looks like a lot of stuff is the same but a lot of bytes are corrupted somehow in the version I made with wav2cas (won't load
)
When I open the waveform in audacity, it looks pretty stable in most parts....makes me think that its not that far gone and a smart enough "wav2cas" like program could restore it. Any tips or experience in this area to share?
