Smooth bottom 810

I picked up a 810 the other day that has a smooth texture bottom half. The top has the regular rough feel of 800 series items. The dive mechanism is the regular wide-mouth, push button type (Tandon?) It boots up just fine, but the sound it a bit higher pitched then my other 810's. Also the PCB on the left dose not fit well in the the LED & switch holes. They look from the front as indented, and pushed to the left. Oh, and the top half has the rear stick missing that covers the IO/power holes.
Any ideas?
