Why is that? Have you ever thought a movie sucked, or underwhelmed? Have you ever directed a hollywood movie? Ever acted in a movie? Who are you to critique movies then?
You ever stop to think that people who have criticisms also produce things that you cannot? Do you have some special power over those that can't make video games? It is conceited and arrogant to behave with those knee jerk reactions. I will never buy any product from you, EVER. You do not deserve it, and if that puts me on some little blacklist I don't give a shit. What do you think you are producing with your little games anyway? Do people have to bow down and perform prostrations because you put out a little game? And those that don't buy and support your products are the non-producers and 'in-active' members of Atari Age somehow?
Do you know what I do? I am an auto-mechanic, a printing press operator, and a bicycle mechanic. I collect and play video games as a hobby. I produce products for consumers every day. I can fix automobiles so that average joes can drive to work every day. I can fix bicycles for people to exercise and ride to their jobs. With my Printing Press job, I have to take criticism every day about the tiniest minutiae, and not lash out at customers or my boss. I am as blue-collar as they come, and the farthest thing from an in-active and non-producing member of society. I am fully aware that I am not changing the world. But I have a little money to spend and I have spent quite a bit of it on my Atari Jaguar collection, which is a complete collection, which means I have given money to people on this very forum who needed it for one reason or another, and sold me a game or two. Maybe that really helped that person/s out. I have talked about the games many many times, participated in gameplay discussions and scoring competition threads.
Atari Age is obviously friendly to homebrewers. Albert has the best online game store for homebrew games I've ever seen. From what I can tell, every single homebrew scene is a fantastic experience, except for the Atari Jaguar. I have homebrews for the 5200, 7800 and the LYNX, and you know what, I am thankful for the great attitude that those people have put forth on this website, so I have rewarded them with some of my spending cash. I don't see the mean, defensive attitudes directed at the very consumers that I see in the Jaguar homebrew scene. I am fed up with you Jag homebrewers behaving as if you yourselves are the Jaguar community, and everyone else somehow owes you some huge debt of gratitude.
None of this applies to Carl Forhan and Songbird, the one guy who I've bought all his Jag releases from and handles himself with class even when there are criticisms.

Simply put everyone who is active and produces stuff on ignore, that way you can live out your AA existence in peace,

That's nice, and it's really inspiring me to continue to work on releasing RAPTOR.... and coming from someone with no Jaguar releases under his belt too. Can't imagine why there aren't a bunch of active devs on that site....
