Please note that this is not a preorder thread and is intended for people who want to purchase one immediately.
I have already ordered the PCBs for this 3rd run. This run is limited to 10 devices but if i see enough interest i will order more to extend it beyond 10 devices. I already have parts needed for 50 devices. This limited run has a special price for AA members which is expected to be around $45 (I haven't updated my cost worksheet yet but I will post the exact price shortly). Regular price for eBay or online purchases will be about $10 more.
This is what you get:
- SIO2PC and 10502PC functionality with USB connectivity to the PC
- Hardware auto-sensing which requires no software intervention. If the device is plugged into an Atari computer it functions as SIO2PC, if connected to a disk drive it will function as a 10502PC.
- Activity/power led color is user selectable (Green or Red, via a jumper on the PCB)
- 100% compatible with AspeQt, compatible with APE when using proper APE drivers but performance may be reduced and not guaranteed.
- Up to 9975 B/sek average SIO speed (when tested with RWTEST running under AspeQT (Pokey divisor 0), U1MB/High Speed OS enabled with SDX and DEVICE SIO /A in config.sys, test drive mounted with 512bytes/sector test ATR.)
- Durable plastic enclosure (black)
- Built-in SIO Cable (1') or built-in SIO plug (specify when ordering)
- Mini-B USB Cable (2')
Here's a list of people who already expressed interest, I will update the status weekly (or more often if needed). I expect to start assembling the components in about two weeks (upon PCB arrival). If you are interested or have questions post it here and PM me for payment/address details.
Also If your name is already on the list but you are no longer interested please let me know so I can update my list.
Thank you.
Optional built-in SIO plug, the photo depicts the plug upside down, will be the other way around in the final product so that the top of the enclosure faces up with the device plugged-into the Atari or the disk drive
