My Atari TT has a "new type" CA401059-001 Rev B ST RAM card with 2MB (16x TCS514256AJ-10) RAM. There are several instructions around the web saying that the CA401059 can be upgraded to 8MB ST-RAM by just changing the chips and setting the jumpers.
As these are SMD chips and I am not a soldering wizard I wonder if this can be accomplished with a soldering station with a fine tip and a handheld vacuum pump or if special equipment is required.
If it's the former, where would I get the required 16 4MBit chips in the correct form factor?
