I've been playing around with the Z26 emulator and the kidvid audio files, from what I read on a mailing list for Stella the audio tapes has 2 channels one for the music/songs the other for data such as 'stop tape'.
I had a look at the audio files that you can get on this site and it looks like both channels have been merged into one mono channel.
I suppose the question is.. which is correct.. is the audio on the tape on one mono channel? or does it have 2 channels?
I'm guessing that it was done like that to make life easier for emulation, as I think I read the audio quality wasn't so high to enable the emulation to work better with the MS-DOS port.
If I had the tapes I'd just rip them myself and probably at higher quality
