I just recently bought an atari 2600 online that the seller claimed was working. Here is a picture of it http://i.imgur.com/MoBA8Yy.jpg.
The plug that connects to the tv is one of these http://i.imgur.com/T...jpg. Whenever I plug it in and turn it on nothing happens. There is no black screen or static. The same blue screen that was on before is still there. I have tried changing the channels between 2,3, and 4 and switching the select channel switch on the bottom of the console. I was using an rf modulator http://i.imgur.com/jH7aOwG.jpg that I have used with other consoles like the NES and genesis. I tried to plug it in directly into the tv instead of using the modulator by plugging it into the back and still nothing. I even tried taking the adapter off and plugging it directly into the front of the tv into a video in socket that the plug fit in to (but i'm not sure that if that would work even with a functioning atari). I was wondering if it was the power supply so I unplugged the power supply from the atari and put it against a flashlight light bulb that usually takes 2 D batteries (3 volts) and while it didn't light up there were a few sparks. Is there anything else I can do to see if it works or should I just ask the seller for a refund? Thank you for any help you can give.
