I've lurked here for ages and figured I should join, especially with this cool story to tell.
Today I purchased the best lot of vintage games I've ever found locally. I spent 90 minutes soaking up the afterglow of the score and reveling in the nostalgia.
Then as I was just about finished going through every title, I noticed the Adventure Construction Set (C64) flat box felt heavier than normal. I opened it up and saw tucked behind the floppy disk in the sleeve what looked like a shrinkwrapped description card of one of the built-in demo games--that is, until I took a second look at the name Roberta Williams. I pulled it out, turned it over to the cover and lo and behold, it was a shrinkwrapped copy of Wizard and the Princess (1980) for the Atari 400/800!
According to Wikipedia this game was sold in a plastic bag, but somehow this copy got shrinkwrapped along the way.
There are many morals to this story, such as, One adventure leads to another, or Don't judge a game by its cover unless you're sure there's not a second game inside.
