Moving files from disk to Mac, how?

Roland W. and I have just moved some old software from cassette to disk.  Now we want to move the files from disk to Mac.  I've got Atari800Mac and SIO2OSX plus a Atari8warez interface (USB2SIO and vice versa).  But no clue on how to use all this.

Please help.

(I'm running OS X 10.8.3)
